It cannot be disputed that leaked information site Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange did the American people a great service during the 2016 Presidential election. Career criminal Hillary Clinton tried to pass herself off to American voters as an acceptable candidate for President, and Wikileaks set her straight.
Through Wikileaks’ efforts, Americans learned the truth about her illegal use of an email server and the details about how she betrayed our country and allowed Americans to be killed in Benghazi. Now that Trump is President, however, people were wondering what Assange’s relationship to Trump would be. Assange answered that question by making a bold move that has created plenty of controversy.
During the campaign, Donald Trump publicly praised Julian Assange and Wikileaks, thanking them for exposing how “the media is simply an extension of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.” Now, however, Trump may wish to consider scaling back his support for Assange’s organization.
Wikileaks just betrayed Trump by tweeting out a tired demand that you are certainly familiar with. Wrote Wikileaks, “Trump’s breach of promise over the release of his tax returns is even more gratuitous than Clinton concealing her Goldman Sachs transcripts.”
President Trump’s adviser Kellyanne Conway went on Meet the Press and told host Chuck Todd that Trump would not be releasing his tax returns, as they are still under audit. Reacted Wikileaks again through Twitter, “Trump Counselor Kellyanne Conway stated today that Trump will not release his tax returns. Send them to: https://wikileaks.org/#submit so we can.” Do you want Julian Assange to stop with his stupid demand?
