The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, met for an interview with Sean Hannity about the allegations of the Russian hacking scandal.
He said something that has truly embarrassed the Democrats. “A 14-year-old kid could have hacked Podesta…” Assange stated, after mentioning that Podesta responded to a phishing email which simply asked for his password.
Phishing scams are one of the first things anyone learns about basic internet security. Any email that asks for your personal identifiable information (PII) is probably a scam and should not be responded to.
Whoever provides your email already knows your password, and they are never going to ask you for it. This is common knowledge but apparently not to the Democrats. This is a perfect example of why national security is in danger in the hands of people like Hillary Clinton and her campaign.
The woman who used an unsecured server to send and receive classified government information clearly has no regard for the national security of Americans. Never mind that she also gave out the specific time of America’s nuclear response! Yes, academics had already guessed at the number, but no one had VERIFIED they were correct!
According to Assange, Hillary Clinton made absolutely no effort to keep her emails safe from hostile forces while she was secretary of state. So, why did people believe she would succeed as the president of the United States?
“Now, was she trying to keep [her emails] secure from Republicans? Probably,” Assange stated at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. “But in terms of [nation-] states, almost no attempt.” This would seem to be a flagrant disregard for security, but did the Justice Department charge her for this? No, of course not—her friends are the Justice Department (via Fox News).
Despite the Russian government and Julian Assange’s statements that Russia was not involved in the “hacking” and the cyberattacks on the DNC and the Podesta emails, the Democrats are still pointing fingers at the Slavic state and saying they influenced the election for Donald Trump.
They even get the most basic detail of the email scandal wrong. It was not a hack—it was a “leak.” It is called WikiLeaks after all! The difference between a hack and a leak is that someone who “leaks” has legal access to the information, sees someone is breaking the law, and decides to leak that information. A hack is an outside attack where the hacker has no proof of wrongdoing occuring, but they could find some while hacking.
Besides, Assange points out something else that is interesting. “On the top [of the CIA report], there is a disclaimer, saying…there is no guarantee that any of this information is accurate,” Assange stated to Hannity. Assange is noting that the CIA is essentially admitting they know they are guessing and don’t have enough information to implicate the Russians.
Unfortunately for the Democrats and the CIA, the American people want the truth! WikiLeaks has a reputation of always providing that truth, and the Democrats have a reputation of lying!
“It’s the same reason why they lost the election, which is instead of focusing on substance, they focused on other things [like] this attempt to say how outrageous it is that the American public received true information before an election,” Assange finished. “The public doesn’t buy that. They want as much true information as possible.”
