Sen. Ted Cruz recently appeared on Fox, and spoke with Ainsley Earhardt about the GOP — and healthcare reform. The other senators need to sit down and take this message to heart.
Washington Examiner reports that Cruz was frustrated over the GOP and their lack of action in repealing Obamacare, as well as getting a new healthcare system in place. Earhardt asked if the rest of the senators are concerned with the turn of events with the repeal and replace of the Affordable Care Act. Cruz’s response was, “If they’re not, they should be,” he continued, “you’re exactly right, voters should hold us accountable.”
It is nice to see Cruz taking responsibility for the issue at hand. His warning to the Republican party is stern. The senator goes on to explain that if the Republicans can’t make anything happen with Obamacare, they are going to look like complete fools.
The intensity in Cruz’s voice rises as he tells the Fox host that this promise cannot be broken. The GOP has been talking about getting Obamacare out the door for a while now. They cannot seriously talk about doing away with this horrid act, and then, when it comes time to vote, not even take the bill the would repeal the ACA.
We are confident that the senators will see the light, so to speak, by the time it is all said and done. In fact, many already agree that the Affordable Care Act NEEDS to go. Now, they need to convince the stragglers to change their vote.
The sooner Obamacare is repealed, the better. It has been nothing but problems since day one. American citizens are being strong-armed into getting insurance, and that is unconstitutional — plain and simple.
You cannot force someone to buy a product from the federal government, then penalize them if they opt out. It doesn’t work that way, even if you try to put the penalty under the guise of a tax.
The People voted for President Trump because he promised to get rid of this horrid act. You can tell that Trump wants nothing more than to rid America of it forever. He just needs to get ALL of the senators on the same page.
It may take some work to get everyone on board, but it is certainly feasible. As Cruz points out, if the GOP doesn’t get their heads on straight and repeal Obamacare, they could be under threat of losing seats during 2018’s election.
We have a feeling that the Left will not be able to pull a victory if Obamacare is repealed by 2018.
Between the left’s animal-like behavior when they riot, and the fake news coverage every day, no one takes them seriously anymore. It isn’t like the people who vote Republican are going to switch to Democrat over the ACA.
They know better than anyone that if it were up to the Dems, they would keep their precious Obamacare forever.
