‘Smoking gun?’ New WikiLeaks show Clinton team discussing $12m payout from king of Morocco

The 13th batch of hacked emails from Hillary Clinton‘s campaign chairman John Podesta may prove to be the unluckiest yet for the Democratic nominee.

…perhaps even a “smoking gun,” according to Twitchy.com.

A January 2015 email from Clinton aide Huma Abedin to Podesta and Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook published by WikiLeaks referenced a $12 million payout from the king of Morocco in exchange for Clinton’s appearance at a meeting.

Politico reported on the Clinton Foundation accepting a “major donation” of foreign money from Morocco in April 2015, stating the amount was “at least $1 million.” Clinton’s appearance was questionable, though husband Bill was expected:

Clinton had been scheduled to appear at the meeting in Marrakech, dubbed the Clinton Global Initiative Middle East and Africa Meeting, on May 5-7. But an official with the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation told POLITICO it’s “unlikely” the former secretary of state will join her husband, Bill. He is still expected at the event, as is Moroccan King Mohammed VI.

The event is being funded largely by a contribution of at least $1 million from OCP, a phosphate exporter owned by Morocco’s constitutional monarchy, according to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the event.

As Twitchy inquired, perhaps Clinton, Abedin, Mook and the Clinton Global Initiative can tell us more about this $12 million royal pledge?
