While many Americans celebrated the victory — and now the Inauguration — of President Donald Trump, there were a number of Americans who were less enthusiastic about his election.
Dallas teacher gave her students a lesson they’re not likely to soon forget. She projected an image of our newly elected president on her classroom wall, drew a plastic water pistol from her side, and started shooting while screaming:
“Die! Die! Die?”
The Dallas Morning News reported:
The Instagram account appears to belong to Payal Modi, an art teacher at Adamson High School. That Instagram account has since been made private.
The Dallas Independent School District released a statement:
“Today, we were made aware of a social media posting being circulated involving a teacher at W. H. Adamson High School. The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district has opened an investigation. This is a personnel matter and, as such, we cannot comment.”
The Dallas ISD also confirmed that Modi has been placed on administrative leave — something that should not have surprised her, considering children have been suspended for far less. “Gun-shaped Pop-Tarts” immediately come to mind.
Let’s see if Ms. Modi will be allowed to teach again.
