After a long and grueling road beset with legal assaults strategically used to destroy Sheriff Arpaio’s image to the public he has finally been able to stick it to the liberals and emerge victorious as the Maricopa County Republican candidate during the primary election this past Tuesday. Now he will have the chance to run for what could be his seventh term in office this upcoming November.
Sheriff Arpaio was reported to have one 66 percent of the vote over his other 3 competitors.
Only two weeks ago Arpaio endured another attack, this time from federal Judge G. Murray Snow when he made the recommendation that Arpaio face charges of criminal contempt due to accusations that he failed to implement anti-profiling measures.
“Sheriff Arpaio and Chief Deputy Sheridan have a history of obfuscation and subversion of this Court’s orders that is as old as this case and did not stop after they themselves became the subjects of civil contempt,” read a statement from the Judge.
In addition, many have demanded that Arpaio be forced to resign but his attorney, Mel McDonald, has made it clear that he doesn’t plan to give into these liberals’ demands that easy.
“Very simply, he’s not going to resign and he’s not going to accept a plea agreement to something he didn’t do,” McDonald said to reporters on Monday.
She also made sure to mention given the judge “court page after page after page” proving Sheriff Arpaio’s innocence in the claims that he has been racial profiling.
Arpaio doesn’t plan on going any time soon. He’s supported and adored by so many Americans and plans to stay right where he has been in order to serve his community, despite Obama’s many attempts to toss him out.
