The past few weeks have been terribly anxiety-ridden for Trump supporters after watching his poll numbers absolutely nose-dive. Rumors continue to surface that the reason he’s not doing anything to change trajectory is that he doesn’t actually want to win the White House.
And now The New York Times claim they know his true goal:
Indeed, in recent months, Mr. Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have quietly explored becoming involved with a media holding, either by investing in one or by taking one over, according to a person close to Mr. Trump who was briefed on those discussions.
Wow. Could this be why, as soon as the polls collapsed, Trump took on the former head honcho of Fox News, Roger Ailes, even though he was under fire for the sexual allegations of numerous employees? And then went on to hire Bannon, the head of a major, if discredited, media outlet. It’s like he’s putting together a jigsaw puzzle for a new cable news channel.
