Actor Matthew McConaughey is not known for speaking out about his faith and his family. Some people just prefer to keep those things private.
He recently spoke to GQ to promote a new project and ending up discussing his views on marriage, faith, and family.
McConaughey is well known for his Texas drawl and charm. He has grown into one of his generation’s finest actors starring in True Detective a show that made history and changed television forever. He won an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club.

Matthew has been married to his wife Camila Alves since 2012. They have three children; Levi, Vida, and Livingston.
McConaughey has rejected most of the liberal Hollywood belief system, which is one reason for his huge success.
Listen to him talk about the sacred institution of marriage.
“We talked about it spiritually,” he said.
“We did a lot of reading and talked to a lot of people that had been divorced, a lot of people that had been happily married. We talked to our pastor,” he continued.
“In the end, our understanding was, ‘Let’s go make a covenant, with you, me, and God.’”
It is rare and so very refreshing to hear a Hollywood actor speak openly about the vital role God and faith play in their successes. It is nice to hear one give thanks for his blessings rather than throw tantrums when he doesn’t get his way.
What a major difference with the rest of la la land. Where traditional values, and worse openly discussing them is a hindrance to one’s career, Mathew is thriving. Keep it up.
