If you thought the aftermath of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server was over, then think again. There are new calls for FBI Director James Comey to resign because of one major reason.
Former U.S. Attorney Joseph DiGenova said the investigation into Hillary’s private email has disqualified FBI Director James Comey from the office because he granted immunity deals to Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills and four other aides, per BizPacReview.com.
DiGenova joins Matthew Whittaker, another federal attorney, who are questioning why Congress hasn’t been made aware of just why Clinton aides were “treated differently than any other investigation that has been done.”
Mills got the immunity deal after she refused to let investigators examine her computer according to the Associated Press.
Moreover, there were multiple agreements that shielded key figures in the Clinton emails from prosecution.
“This now gets to the point of a serious question as to the director’s fitness for office,” DiGenova said.
They should have convened a grand jury and issued a subpoena for the appropriate examination of Cheryl Mills’ computer.
Of course, DiGenova and Whittaker are not the only one who are taken aback by these recent developments.
U.S. Representative Jason Chaffetz was “absolutely stunned” the FBI granted this many immunities to key players in the case.
“No wonder they couldn’t prosecute a case,” Chaffetz said to the Associated Press. “They were handing out immunity deals like candy.”
Perhaps the most appropriate wording came from DiGenova however, who termed this as not a real investigation but a “protected investigation.”
Of course, this is what you can regularly expect from a Hillary Clinton administration. It will be more of the same, just like the exploits of her husband “Slick Willie.”
