Rumors are coming in that Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has filed for divorce from former President Bill Clinton.
Hillary’s attorneys filed an Action for Divorce with the Supreme Court of the State of New York for Westchester County.
According to documents obtained by the Christian Times Newspaper, the former president’s name appears in the defendant section of the filing while Hillary’s signature can be seen beside the plaintiff section.
The former secretary of state has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for divorce, the website notes.
“According to the filing obtained by CTN, the couple have a previously agreed-upon separation agreement or stipulation that will govern the manner in which the marital property is to be distributed in the event the divorce is finalized. It is unclear at this time what that agreement specifically covers.”
The media outlet also said the marriage of the Clintons has been a “mystery” over the years because of Bill’s affairs during his political career as Governor of Arkansas, the US President, and following his time in public office.
However, Morning News USA cannot validate the filing of the reported divorce. As of press time, there are no other publications reporting about it.
Morning News USA can therefore ruled this report as purely fake news.
In fact, the Clintons, as Morning News USA previously reported, were seen hiking together on Thursday (as can be seen by this Facebook post) – a couple of days after Hillary lost the 2016 presidential election to now President-elect Donald Trump. The Republican candidate and business mogul was able to secure more than 270 electoral votes, the minimum required by a candidate to win the presidency.
As far as the divorce between the former President and former secretary of state is concerned, no other media outlet has covered the story; which, at least to an extent, suggests the story may not be true. If the rumors surrounding the split were in fact genuine, it would have been unlikely the two would be spotted hiking together.
