De Blasio Blames Trump When Black Man Is Murdered, but Look What He Did When 2 Cops Were Killed by BLM Protester

A black man was killed in New York City this past week in what appears to have been a racially-motivated attack.

Bill de Blasio, Mayor of New York, is blaming President Donald Trump.

Huh? How? Why?

Does Comrade De Blasio actually need logic or facts?

From Daily Caller:

In an interview with WNYC’s Brian Lehrer on Friday, de Blasio called the killing of 66-year-old Timothy Caughman by 28-year-old white supremacist James Jackson an “act of domestic, racist terrorism.”

Shortly before midnight on Monday, Jackson fatally stabbed Caughman from behind with a sword. Jackson, who traveled from Baltimore to commit the murder, said he was planning to kill more black men in Times Square.

De Blasio attributed it to “Trump rhetoric.”

“The challenge here is that a dynamic of hatred has been growing in this country over the last year or more, particularly come out in the open, is clearly related to the rhetoric of Donald Trump and even other candidates during the presidential election that have unleashed forces of hate all over the country,” he said.

“An atmosphere of hate has been created,” he added.

The White House clearly rebutted the accusation, according to Politico.

When asked about de Blasio’s remarks, White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders said in a statement to POLITICO New York, “The President has repeatedly condemned any racially or religiously motivated act of violence and to suggest anything different is dishonest and misleading.”

De Blasio did not point to any specific ‘rhetoric’ from Trump which supposedly could have incited such an action against a black man.

There isn’t any rhetoric that Trump has ever said that could suggest justification for such a horrible act.

However, let me remind the Mayor of some other rhetoric in another murder case.

When another killer, who also traveled from Baltimore to New York City, came with the intent to kill people.

Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley shot his girlfriend in Baltimore, then drove to NYC and assassinated two police officers, Rafael Ramos and Wen Jian Liu, in December 2014.

He had been involved in Black Lives Matter protests, believing that Mike Brown and Eric Garner had been wrongly killed. He left a note giving revenge for their deaths as his reason for killing the officers. He even used the Black Lives Matter chant “pigs in a blanket” as a reference to killing them.

But Mayor de Blasio didn’t blame Black Lives Matter rhetoric for the assassinations then, even when the killer said that was the reason. Media choose in large measure to ignore that the man was a Black Lives Matter protester and his specific reasons for killing the officers.

Brinsley may also have been a “twofer” – not only a black extremist but also an Islamist. He attended a mosque linked to extremism in Brooklyn, another fact most media skipped.

Where was de Blasio’s condemnation of “rhetoric” in those assassinations?

Not only didn’t he condemn the anti-police rhetoric of the BLM, he contributed to it by actually joining the protests and saying he taught his son (who is black) to be fearful of police in an interview 12 days before the killings.

This caused the NYC police officers to turn their back on him, literally, at the wake of one of the officers, because they felt he had incited people against them.

Perhaps he needs to check his own rhetoric before he talks about others…
