House Intel Chair Nunes is stepping away from the investigation into Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia during the campaign.
He didn’t need to do that.
But, clearly, the Republicans are tired of the negative press.
Here’s his statement.

However, a lot of people are talking about one of the people who will replace him at the head of that investigation.
The one and only Trey Gowdy.
The probe will be taken over by Reps. Michael Conaway (R-Texas), Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Tom Rooney (R-Fla.)
We know this whole Russia thing is much ado about nothing at this point considering no one had brought forward any tangible evidence that Russia was working with the Trump team.
So, it’s nice that a guy like Gowdy will be running things. Odds are he will do the thing right and we can wrap this whole charade up.
You gotta imagine that Gowdy will be able to cut through all the B.S. which clouds about 98% of this entire conversation.
