Every reasonable observer realizes that Barack Obama shares no love for Israel. Words aside, his actions have repeatedly let the Jewish people know that he has done everything – short of inviting impeachment – to diminish or eliminate the tiny nation.
From making Prime Minister Netanyahu enter the White House through a rear entrance and then keeping him waiting for over an hour while he finished eating with his family, to providing Israel’s sworn enemy Iran with a path to nuclear weapons, to orchestrating the recent U.N. vote that opens the door to boycotts, divestiture and sanctions against the Middle East’s only democracy, Obama has made it clear he shares the Islamists’ view that Israel doesn’t figure in the future of the region.
Fortunately Donald Trump has pledged that under his leadership the United States will be a steadfast ally. On the campaign trail he even promised to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to the city where all of the Jewish Holy Sites are located, Jerusalem.
Now Ted Cruz has joined Marco Rubio and Sen. Dean Heller (NV) in stepping forward and demanding that the U.S. fulfill Congress’ 1995 pledge to locate our embassy in Jerusalem.
According to a report in The Dallas Morning News:
“Jerusalem is the eternal and undivided capital of Israel,” Cruz said in a written statement. “Unfortunately, the Obama administration’s vendetta against the Jewish state has been so vicious that to even utter this simple truth — let alone the reality that Jerusalem is the appropriate venue for the American embassy in Israel — is shocking in some circles.
“But it is finally time to cut through the double-speak and broken promises and do what Congress said we should do in 1995: formally move our embassy to the capital of our great ally Israel.”
Obama’s latest U.N. gambit left Israel without many options. And, despite the outcry from Democrat lawmakers over Obama’s abandonment of our longtime ally it’s hard to believe they were truly upset over Obama’s actions. They’ve caucused with him and carried his water long enough to know what’s in the man’s heart. Either that or they’re too stupid to be entrusted with the leadership of our country.
This move, when completed, will signal to the world that an attack on Israel – military or economic – will be an attack on the U.S.A.
