The investigation into the five Pakistani IT staff, who allegedly accessed House computers without permission and stole equipment, has yielded some darker information.
These five people earned four million, including from several representatives who never or rarely used their services, via The Daily Caller.
The median yearly salary for assistants in the House is $43,000, but one of these suspected criminals, Imran Awan, has made $1.2 million since 2010.
The suspects are three brothers, Imran, Jamal, and Abid, as well as two of their wives, Hina Alvi and Natalia Sova.
Abid has made more than one million dollars, as has his brother’s wife, Hina.
Among the representatives who employed the brothers or their wives are Jim Costa, (D-CA), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Tim Ryan (D-OH), Yvette Clarke (D-NY), and 27 others, all Democrats.
Many of these representatives are on important committees on intelligence and foreign policy. These five would have had access to their employer’s full computer, including emails.
The Democratic Caucus also paid Hina Alvi for her work. However, Hina is the most suspicious of all. One former House staffer said that Hina rarely showed up for work. Her husband, Imran, would, “take her around to the offices, but after a while he stopped even putting up the illusion and did all that stuff himself.”
Only 100 staffers of the roughly 25,000 who have worked there during this period have made more money than Imran.
The brothers regularly spent time in Pakistan. One of them declared bankruptcy in 2012 yet was fired with enough money in the bank to give a $30,000 loan to a friend. Clearly, this all stinks to high heaven.
We need to get to the bottom of this investigation right now and anyone involved should be brought up on charges of treason!
