What we’re currently witnessing across the media landscape is contrived theater, similar to what Middle America has been exposed to at noisome, since the wee hours of November 9thwith all the bad actors in place taking their turns at vilifying the incoming Trump Administration. This week it’s the continuing saga of former civil rights leader and current Congressman John Lewis, vs. the incoming Commander-in-Chief, and soon to be President Donald Trump.
At issue is the mindset of Congressman John Lewis, and his inability to wrap his smooth round head around the inevitable, that at precisely 12- o’clock noon, this coming Friday, Donald J. Trump will take the oath of office to become the 45th President of the United States, and whether Lewis believes the new president is legitimate or not, or whether he attends the festivities or not is “irrelevant.”
Moreover the subject of John Lewis is perhaps best explained by writer and political analyst Thomas Lifson, who has authored an excellent article about the civil rights leader and why he shouldn’t be immune from criticism.
Lifson begins his exposé by stating within the piece: “The American left created a claque around [Congressman Lewis], requiring any serious discussion of the man to include a disclaimer as to his heroic status and infallibility…. This made him the perfect voice to go where no elected representative should go following the operation of the constitutional machinery for picking a president.”
“As a Catholic commentator and pro-life advocate, I asked Evangelist Alveda C. King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and a pro-life leader (she serves as director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, the African-American outreach for Priests for Life and Gospel of Life Ministries), if she hopes Mr. Trump will be a pro-life president”.
Alveda King’s response: ‘I pray that all polar opposites learn to Agape Love, live and work together as brothers and sisters—or perish as fools. While I voted for Mr. Trump, my confidence remains in God, for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
She continued; “Prayers for President-elect Trump, Congressman Lewis, and everyone including leaders.”
Alveda King’s remarkable insight would make her uncle proud, in that it would be a lot easier and politically expedient if King subscribed to the political theater and selective outrage of the left, promoting a radical anti-life, anti-family, agenda at the expense of black America, Congressman Lewis was once a righteous civil rights advocate, today he’s simply another black politician who has co-opted the civil rights movement and the legacy of Dr. King.
SHARE this if you think Alveda King’s support of Trump is incredible!
