Black NFL player gives JAW-DROPPING reason why Colin Kaepernick is still unemployed

Some background here. Michael Bennett plays for the Seattle Seahawks.

According to Spotrac.com, Michael Bennett signed a 3 year, $30,000,000 contract with the Seattle Seahawks, including a $8,000,000 signing bonus, $14,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $10,000,000. In 2017, Bennett will earn a base salary of $6,500,000, a signing bonus of $8,000,000 and a roster bonus of $1,031,250, while carrying a cap hit of $11,268,750 and a dead cap value of $15,450,000.

So let’s just get that out of the way.

But Wait…

As Derrick Wilburn wrote, The current league minimum salary for NLF players ranges from $460,000 for rookies up to $1,000,000 for veterans with ten or more years in the league. Talk about people struggling just to get by on minimum wage, the minimum wage after just four years in the NFL is $775,000.

NFL rosters are comprised 70 percent of African-American men despite the fact that we represent only six percent of the United States’ population. And that’s all black American men. Parse that number down again to those black men in typical NFL playing age range — about 22 to 32 years of age — and we drop to a number even smaller than six percent.

But according to Bennett, one of the largest employers of black athletes in the nation is “racist” because (half-black) whiner Colin Kaepernick can’t find a job.

Per Breitbart, “I think the league is built on middle America, and most of the middle of America is predominantly a white crowd,” Bennett said Wednesday. “That’s just the truth of it. I think race is not something that the NFL wants to be a part of or get behind. But the league is predominantly African-American.”

How the 2-time Pro Bowl player doesn’t see a disconnect between his claim the NFL is racist even though it is “predominantly African-American,” is anyone’s guess. Further, how can “middle America” be filled with foaming at the mouth racists and still be fans of an NFL that is “predominantly African-American”? Logic apparently isn’t Bennett’s thing.

The player continued, according to ESPN, saying, “So the issue that he’s dealing with is what we’re all dealing with. We all come from the inner city, or we’ve been a part of communities where we felt like we’ve been judged because of the color of our skin or who we like or if a woman—any issue to deal with. We’ve all been dealing with it with someone in our family.”

“Obviously, there’s the elephant in the room why Kaepernick isn’t signed, and most people know why,” the Super Bowl champion said.

Um, yeah it’s because he spent an entire year pouring hate on America, our flag and Americans. Doesn’t really matter what color he is, does it?

Still, Bennett was on to something with another comment he made.

“I think race and politics in sports is something people don’t want to hear about, nor do people want to be a part of,” he said.
