Yesterday we reported that Donald Trump might pick a retired General for his Vice President. The first name out of the gate was General Michael Flynn. Now a second retired General is being floated. This pick is beloved across the the political spectrum and isn’t afraid to call out the President!
Retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal is a contender to be running mate for presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, according to a new report from ABC News.
McChrystal lost his job as the commander of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan following a Rolling Stone magazine profile that quoted the general and his advisors insulting President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden and criticizing the U.S. strategy in Afghanistan.
What do you think? Would a general be a good choice? I think if he is going with an “outsider” ticket then a businessman and a general would be good against Hillary and whatever career politician she picks.
In these times when ISIS is running wild, we need a steady hand with foreign policy and military experience. McChrystal might be the man that can bring that.
