It’s official! Lockheed Martin is close to a deal to lower the cost of its F-35 aircraft. CEO Marillyn Hewson just announced that on Friday after meeting with Trump.
Here is what she said: “I certainly share his views that we need to get the best capability to our men and women in uniform, and we have to get it at the lowest possible price,” Hewson said.
Here is what Trump said early in the campaign.
Lockheed-Martin’s CEO said that she would drive down the cost of the fighter jet. Costs for Lockheed’s F-35 were at $379 billion. The F-35 program made up 20% of the company’s total revenue, says Reuters.
Lockheed-Martin said that they will increase jobs at its Fort Worth, Texas location. They will bring 1,800 jobs to the region. Let’s make this go viral. Trump isn’t even President and he is already bringing in jobs.
