Hillary Clinton might now be regretting ever starting the Clinton Foundation. The pay-for-play scandal surrounding the foundation, along with other emerging revelations about the tight link between the State Department and the Clinton charity is not going away. Now that the mainstream media are finally doing their job, the negative headlines might just cause Hillary to self-destruct before November.
“It is a total embarrassment if our secretary of state can be bought or bribed or sold,”Donald Trump said about the Clinton Foundation scandal.
A shocking new report by the Associated Press revealed MORE THAN HALF the non-government staffers who were offered the chance to meet with Hillary Clinton while she served as secretary of state were Clinton Foundation donors.
“It’s a disgrace, this is a threat to the foundation of democracy. This is what happens in Third World countries,” Trump added.
The report stated at least 85 of 154 people from “private interests” who either met in person or had a phone call with Secretary Clinton had donated or pledged to donate to the Clinton Foundation’s international programs, the Daily Mail notes.
The 85 donors who were granted access to the secretary of state donated a combined $156 million to the Clinton Foundation.
“Hillary Clinton is totally unfit to hold public office. It is impossible to figure out where the Clinton Foundation ends and the State Department begins,” Trump also said during a campaign rally in Austin.
Although much has been made out of Hillary’s charitable contributions after she shared her tax returns with the public, the vast majority, if not all, of those donations were made to her family’s foundation.
“It is now abundantly clear that the Clintons set up a business to profit from public office; they sold access. This is corruption, and this is why I have called for a special prosecutor to look into this mess,” Donald Trump added.
As previously reported by the Angry Patriot, a significant amount of the donations to the Clinton Foundation are used for “administrative” and related expenses.
