Amish Centipede here. Can confirm that we voted for Trump almost unanimously. Just because we live without technology, people think we are stupid. This is not true. We are great farmers and craftsmen and artists. Maybe above all else, we are excellent businessmen and appreciate the success that Mr. Trump has worked for. While none of us have ever made the billions that he has, it’s okay because we live a much humbler lifestyle, and we just want to keep more of what is ours. My family lives in a small, single-story house. It’s just fine for us because we learn to live with one another and be close to family, but it’s still difficult to pay our taxes and keep the lights on. We also need one another: we are interdependant in the same way that global industry is, so that if any member of our community fails, we all do. For instance, my family operates a poultry farm, which might seem like a self-sustaining entity. But when we butcher the chickens, we do so with the knives forged by a third-generation blacksmith at the other end of the county. When we bread the meat, we use flour ground by the wheat farmer who helped my father once when he had a bad year. The pig farm (which smells way worse than the chicken coops btw) supplies us with rendered fat we use in the fryer. Finally, there’s the marketkeeper, who rents us our stall down by the state college where we sell chicken tendies to the students. All of us are unified and we love and respect all who are a part of our world. Mr. Trump seems to operate on the same philosophy and we hope that this love will spread to the whole country. Thank you and God bless.
